Furniture made the long way round.

Furniture Ideal began as a small joinery bench and grew into a full atelier without changing the rule it started with: build every piece to the customer's measurements, in solid wood, by the people who will stand behind it.

Our structural timber is kiln-dried European beech — dense, stable and forgiving of the heat and humidity swings that destroy particle board. Joints are mortise-and-tenon or dowelled and glued, never stapled. Finishes are hand-rubbed in twelve stains so the grain stays visible.
